Heroic teen leader Malala Yousafzai has recovered from her last two reconstructive surgeries this month, and is walking and talking.
“Today you can see that I’m alive. I can speak, I can see you. I can see everyone. And today I can speak and I’m getting better day by day. It’s just because of the prayers of people… because all the people, mainly women, children all of them have prayed for me,” Malala said. “Because of these prayers, god has given me this new life. I want to serve the people. I want every girl, every child to be educated.”
This was her first appearance before the news cameras.

As a leader, Yousafzai consistently demonstrates the clarity, risk-taking and visionary goal-setting of a transformational presence. This video shows it even more, with her calm message, simple words and continuing dedication.
Now that the Taliban have forced her to walk through the fire of healing, she is even stronger, even more powerful.
Long live Malala!
